An increasing number of schools have requested us to train, evaluate and do workshops with their preschool teachers. The purpose for these is to facilitate the schools with our suggestions and standards of teaching techniques. Normally such contract is for about 23 months.

Our Monitoring procedures after signIng a contract are as follows:

Assessment visit
This is the first stage where ECEC experts visit the school to assess the entire classrooms and its resources. We provide adequate reports and feedback with suggestions regarding classroom decoration, furnishing, teaching and management. This visit may be done more than one time if the school is estblished totally new.

Training
ECEC trains the teachers in ECEC with Step 1 full course as a compulsary basic training. Later on, according to the interests and the need of the school and the teachers, we provide Step 2, 3 and 4 courses. Trainees for Kathmandu valley should take these setps continuously. We also suggest appropriate educational materials necessary for an early childhood class. We also advise on how to use the materials and the decoration of the classroom.

This training can be conducted outside ECEC upon the request of the school but, there should be at least 20 trainees to participate in the training. Accommodation, food, transportation, etc. are charged accordingly. This training is also possible for preschools outside the Kathmandu valley. We recommend that more schools participate so that we can have more than 20 participants.

Evaluation Visit and Follow Up Workshop
ECEC trainers attend the schools and observe and evaluate their teaching and classwork 3 times within the contract period. Each evaluation session will be followed by a workshop at ECEC training centre during which the trainers give feedback about the evaluation visit and conduct more training on things that need to be improved.

Parent Awareness Raising Programmes
We conduct Awareness raising programs for parents particularly to explain the necessisity of play, skill learning, manupulative learning and concept learning which play an important role in early childhood. Click here

Planning session
We advise Principal, Coordinator and Management Committee on the steps which shold be taken in order to improve and modernize their preschools.
