This is a short introduction
course to early childhood education.
Duration: Full time: 5 days from 9.30 am – 4.00 pm
Duration: We conduct this course also in the morning- (6.30
– 8.30 am) or evening (3.30 – 5.30 pm) for 2
and half weeks, plus one morning observation at a model
school.
It is a brief introduction
to Early Childhood Development including the following subjects:
- Current development of Early Childhood
Education in Nepal
- Child development
- Integrated approach to learning
- Preparatory reading
- Writing and math through practical
methods and activities
- Learning through Play
- Class Management

This is a basic course to
Early childhood Education
Duration full time: 4 weeks from 9.30 am – 4.00 pm
Part time: Duration: 8 weeks in the morning (6.30 –
8.30 am) or evening (3.30 – 5.30 pm) for 2 hours.
Additional to this you need to add 8 days of practical at
one of our model schools.
The subjects are the same
as in Step 1- level 1 course plus topics related to teaching
and learning in practical ways according to psychological
needs of a child. There will be 8 days of practical experiences
at one of our model schools. There will be home assignments
for 30 hours.
Step 2 Full Course
This is the next step following
the Step 1 course.
Duration full time: 4 weeks from 9.30 – 4.00 pm
Part time: Duration: 8 weeks in the morning or evening 2
hours. 8 weeks in the morning (6.30 – 8.30 am) or
evening (3.30 – 5.30 pm) for 2 hours. Additional to
this you need to add 8 days of practical at one of our model
schools.
The subjects of this course
give deeper knowledge & skills regarding subjects like
Thematic Approach and how to manage this in your own class
room. We also conduct classes on Continuous Assessment,
Child Psychology and others which are every teacher must
know about. We offer lots of ideas for new songs and games.
Our main focus in this course is: How to give the best guidance
to your child.

Refreshment Workshops on Wednesdays click here for training dates
Every Friday afternoon (3.00 – 5.00 pm) we have refreshment workshops for teachers. We want to give teachers new and practical ideas for use in their own classroom.

Phonics click here for training dates
We have phonics classes which are very popular. More and more schools are discovering that practicing phonics is a better way for the children to catch and recognize English sounds. We have 2 levels, Phonics 1 and Phonics 2 course which are 9 hours each.
We can offer enrichment courses on the following subjects: Preparatory Science and social studies, language development, creative development and arts, creative development and music, art and craft and story, class management and physical education.

ECEC conducts parent seminars in order to create awareness in parents about their children's development. We offer to teach on topics like: Ways of learning (through play), Discipline, Emotional development, How to help your child to grow in confidence and other topics that we are requested to speak on. Our programmes are interactive and help parents grow in understanding and raising their children better in a child centered way.

An increasing number of schools have requested us to train, evaluate and do workshops with their preschool teachers for a few months. Normally such contract is for about 23 months. Teachers attend a course at ECEC. Then ECEC experts attend the teachers in their schools and evaluate their teaching and class work 3 times. Each visit and evaluation is followed by a workshop at ECEC during which the teachers get more training on things that need to be improved. It also involves a consultation session with the Principal/coordinator and a parent seminar. For more information, please contact us.
